WooshBall Bat Tuner Instructions
- Find a quiet place to tune your WooshBat
- Click the ‘Start Microphone’ button on the tuner to allow for the use of your device’s microphone
- Bring your bat close to your device’s microphone, then pluck one string repeatedly with a slight pause inbetween – note where the needle on the tuner registers. The goal is for it to be in the green range.
- If the needle consistently shows in the yellow range, you will need to tighten the top bolt of your bat with a 9/16 inch socket wrench. Start by turning the bolt 1/2 turn Clockwise (180 degrees) to see the impact on the tuner
- Pluck the string again and note how much the needle moved from the earlier position. If the needle is now in the green range, you’re all done, if it still is in the yellow range, turn the bolt another 1/2 turn or more based on how far the needle is from the green range.
- Continue this process until the needle is clearly in the green range.
- If the WooshBat registers in the Red range, repeat the above process only in the opposite direction (counter clockwise) in 1/2 turn increments until the bat registers in the green range.
- If you have turned the bolt clockwise until you can no longer turn it any further, and the bat is still showing in the yellow range, you will need to replace the 1 inch bolt with a 1 1/4 inch bolt, or replace the strings.
